  1. Been here for a couple of time and their food is really nice . But lately they have shrink the size of their food . Price remain the same . The picture you see here is M size and this doesn’t look like medium size . And this serve 4 person which is too little for us . We paid Rm137 for our dinner but ended up we have something else elsewhere because all of us are not full . The taste wise , all dishes are tasty and nice . This is an air conditioner indoor seating and the place is very clean even the toilet . No smell , not wet but super clean . Service is good and food served fast . Parking is very difficult here during day time and don’t forget to pay parking during weekdays and Saturday . Overall rating 8/10

  2. Found this restaurant through random search for dinner place in Ipoh. So grateful that we made the decision to try it out and turned up early before 5:30pm via walk in. Food was delicious and service was good. The Signature spare rib 火焰排骨 was really good. Recommended the fried hor fun with prawn and cockles to go with their home made chillies. Paired the hor fun with the watercress soup. End the meal with the lychee lemongrass jelly was an excellent choice. Will certainly come back again.

  3. Chanced upon the Google review and decided to try at this restaurant. Didn’t regret. Their signature dishes are really worth trying, and the bosses are friendly and welcoming. Ordered their signature hor fun, came with quality 1″ cockles and fresh prawns. Highly recommended to try here.

  4. What a pleasent place for dining, friendly people and very accommodating. We ordered the crispy tofu, sesame oil chicken and under the recommendation for a steamed fish (龙须公鱼),the fish was surprisingly delicious, the sesame oil chicken however was just as expected.
In all we would like to recommend this 40-year old establishment.
    $$$

  5. This place is very crowded even though its a weekday and reservation is needed. You can get it done via online. The food is average only and most of the bestsellers especially the claypot fish need to wait around 45mins. The prices in the menu is on the high side which is comparable dining in the restaurant.. My biggest letdown when they charged for a plate of extra ginger ? paste (for steam chicken).

This was the famous restaurant I and my family visited frequently when I was young. We arrived at around 9pm but still were busy. We had been waiting for about 45min before we had our dinner. Maybe our family prefers heavier taste, the food we ordered did not up to our expectation. However, Thai style steamed fish was good! Besides, portion of each dishes was small particularly the vegetables, it was totally not enough for 7 of us.

If you want 叫菜吃饭 in Ipoh, please give this place a try.

My second visit after the pandemic and it is still as good as a few years ago!

Definitely must order the Indonesian style curry prawn! The curry is so addictive and it is the best when you go it with rice. Prawns are fresh and big in size.

Basically everything that we ordered is flavourful and delicious. Lady boss was friendly and the dishes were served quite fast too.

Celebrated my dad’s birthday here at this recommended restaurant by a family friend. Not disappointed at all to find a gem in Ipoh. My personal favorite was the curry prawn and rice wine fried vege. We ordered a total of 7 dishes but the other dishes was just average to me. A point to note that despite the restaurant packed the service was good. The total bill came to RM300++ for 9 of us.

Food is ok. Crowded and a lot of people waiting for table. A local favorite. Steamed cat fish, sweet and sour pork, stir fried French bean with garlic and sizzling hot plate toufu for 4 person for RM 128 for dinner on winter solstice day.

Parking is difficult and park at the opposite shop lots to avoid congestion.

My first visit here and had quiet a decent experience here. A simple Chinese air conditioned restaurant set up, suitable for friends and family gathering or family with young children or elderly. This place is crowded during peak hours so do make reservation before heading over. Personally I quite like the food here, steam fish were fresh and steam to perfection. Their pumpkin tofu was good too yummy and silky. Service was prompt and attentive, service staff will also take time to recommend their popular dishes.

We savoured the Deep Fried Cod Fish (M$192), Poached Amaranth with Three Types of Eggs (M$25), and Signature Smoked Duck with Lychee Wood (M$59).

The restaurant is elegantly designed and offers excellent service.

I discovered that using a regular Telco connection to browse the internet is slow, so I asked the restaurant mamager for WiFi access.

Strongly suggested for get-togethers with family and catching up with friends.

Had our dinner on 22 Nov @ 7pm for 7pax(6A1C). Overall food were nice with great ambience…we all loved the steamed chicken with enoki mushroom. The signature smoked duck is not to my liking…Special shout out to Adeepa. He noticed my friend put his bag on the floor and he immediatey brought over a chair for him to put. Great service, Adeepa and Thank q.

The smoked duck was great — wafer thin crispy skin, full of aromatic flavours. Salted egg prawn was amazing too. Staff were professional and polite, service was good and prompt.

On our first visit for dinner, we ordered the smoked duck (1/2 portion), Yuk Sou Hin signature fried rice (contains egg white, crabmeat, tobiko and scallop) and their soup of the day. In line with most of the other reviews, it was a fantastic meal and we found all their ingredients to be fresh. Also, they are very generous with the ingredients in the fried rice.

We returned for lunch the next day to try their salted fish fried rice, qing long vegetables and chicken w scallop soup. All were delicious as well.

Value for money, great quality and a breeze getting a table here (unlike several other food establishments in Ipoh where people start queuing half an hour before opening…). Hope they are able to maintain standards so I can revisit this place when I next come to Ipoh.
