Taste wise, I felt both popiah and braised pork bun were very sweet. Overly sweet that I didn’t bother finishing my meal. Items are pricey for what it is.

I have eaten here countless times. Usually I will get the braised pork bun, curry rice, popiah. Pork bun ($3.80) abit pricey but so delicious especially with the fats. Portion for the curry rice is rather large so really filling. Small shop with very few seats though. Recommended ?

Came here to eat for the first time. The meat is very soft and juicy. My children liked it. The curry chicken not very salty, taste just nice and not very spicy too. Just that the place is small. Not suitable for family. 2 person a table just nice.

Ordered the braised pork glutinous rice. Very delicious! But also very salty! ?

Good only for the Giant supermarket and maybe the gym. The foodcourt has your typical food average taste nothing fantastic, pricing is considered not too expensive or cheap.

Crystal Jade reopened and currently has a member only promo for their XLB. Went down for lunch and overall experience was above average. Service was not ideal as it was not even crowded, but had to call out 3 times to get out order. This was already a bad experience at a start. Fortunately the food was good, otherwise it will be a bad rating. The la mian, fu pi and XLB are really fantastic, these really salvaged the lunch. Luckily, payment was smooth and the staff was nice and patient with us getting the app out to scan for the member’s XLB deal. Overall food was very good, but will need to improve the ordering since it wasn’t even crowded. Not sure if it’s only this outlet since they just reopened.

All the dishes we ordered were pretty good. Particularly enjoyed the picked veg grilled patin fish that was on promo.

    1. It was love at first sight the first time I stepped foot into this restaurant a couple years back. It’s like you are being transported to Hong Kong – the vibes, the decor, the food and not forgetting the services!

It is my go-to place for Bolo Bun with Egg and Luncheon meat (8.5/10) and Yuan Yang (ie. tea and coffee) (8.5/10). I also love that they serve Horlicks (9/10) (which is uncommon in Singapore restaurant).

We brought our family there and they loved the food too! We ordered Min Egg Tarts (7/10), Hong Kong Styled Mini Coconut Tarts (7/10), Steamed Sponge Cake (9/10), Deep Fried Taro Dumplings (8/10), Thick Rice-roll with Dough Fritters (7/10), Congee with Fresh Fish slices (9/10), Deep Fried Glutinous Balls with Peanuts fillings (7/10), Pan-Fried Bean Curd Skin roll Stuffed Prawns (8/10).

Some wait staffs are more pleasant than others but personally I find that completes the entire experience.

I understood that they are undergoing a major renovation and I certainly hope that does not rob the ‘retro Hong Kong vibes’.

Definitely looking forward to visiting them after 🙂

    2. I really enjoyed the food in this Hong Kong Cha chaan teng! The roast meat platter (三拼), including roast duck, roast pork and chicken, was delicious. The dim sum (such as the cha siew buns, carrot cake, prawn toast and rice roll with dough fritters) and beef brisket and wonton noodles were tasty too ? It is the perfect bustling place for family meals. The service provided was good, Jenny was friendly and attentive to us. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Hong Kong food. I will definitely be back! ?

    3. Good HK-style food at affordable prices. Esp like the crispy noodles with eggplant, harkow (flavorful plumb n juicy prawns), and the beef noodles. The pork crispy bun was a tad dry. Unfortunately the roasted pork was also not crispy.

    4. Roast duck & pork was really fatty but old folks likes fats. Roast pork skin not crispy. Char Siew Bao no good, cold pan fried carrot cake , nice luncheon meat cheese bun. Veg was ok but serve cold. Rice dry. $62 rather expensive & I would rate overall so so only. There are better place.

    5. The beef brisket noodle is springy and authentic. Beef shank is cooked just right. Everything we ordered was delicious. Feels like I am in HK.
