All 3 bowls of noodles were great from texture of noodles(all handmade!) to the soup base used. I particularly enjoyed their mala (spicy) soup based as the homemade Szechuan oil used was really fragrant and definitely packed a punch! Can request for extra chilli oil for those who’d like a more fiery kick. Beef soup offered was clear with a pleasant radish flavour profile, while my mum enjoyed the spicy and sour soup combination. Their own rendition of dong bei dumplings were equally satisfying with generous filling of pork&chives. Only had enough tummy space to fit in one type of dim sum – decent size and tasted good as well.

All in all, very positive first experience here. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu

My go-to place if I crave for dim sum. It’s not famous or popular which I think is so underrated. But I also loved the food that’s been served here. The food is authentic and always brings me back to my memory of having good authentic Chinese food. I highly recommend it.

    Mix roast pork and spicy vege was ok…passable. Roast duck didn’t taste as good as I expected. Quite overpriced, in my opinion.

    A nice place to have roast duck and meat in Ipoh. The original taste is good the rest not so recommended as too dry.

    Ordered roast duck + roast pork rice, with a small dish of roast pork as side. Skin was crispy and had the crunch. Roast pork was sliced thinner than I liked and the roast pork had more fat than meat so maybe I should have told them I wanted leaner meat?

    1. Have not been here for a few years and decided to go on a Friday night with my husband.

      Once I entered the place, there was a funny smell and I just thought it was because the place is old. The host sat us at a table and that area smelled as well.

      We placed our orders for the following items (not exact names):
      * Salted Vegetable Soup
      * Seafood Fried Egg
      * Tofu with Minced Meat
      * Vegetable (Yau Mak)
      * Chinese Tea (cold)

      The dishes took a while to reach us and we were starving by then. The food was alright, definitely not as good as before and there were a lot of dishes that were “sold out” (probably because we came late). While eating, we saw a roach crawling across the dining hall.

      The price for the food is mid level pricing, a little more expensive than usual. I would probably not return there, the smell in the place really solidified my decision.

    2. I googled and read the reviews before came, knowing that the only down side of this restaurant is long waiting time. And indeed yes, it took around 40 minutes for us to get the meal served.

      After the meal, I would comment the follow:
      Taste of the food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
      Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
      Waiting time: ⭐️⭐️
      Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

      Piece of advice, do have something in your stomach to cater the waiting time, nevertheless, I personally finds that it worth the waits.

      There is plenty of parking space opposite junction

    3. If can I don’t even want to give one stars,they seriously not deserve it。They should tell us the estimate time when we sit down to let us decide eat or not. After we order we wait for more than 40 minutes and if I don’t ask for it ,I think they will continue to let us wait. The most important is I already wait for 40 minutes then only tell me the things that I order is already sold out!When I paying for the bill I tell the boss(?) about this problem , the boss just tell us because a lot of delivery orders. So? Only care about the delivery orders and no need to care for the dine-in customer just let them to wait for so long?!

    4. The place was good but the food is superb! I order take outs and asked for recommendations to lessen my coughing, the employee did wonders as she recommended me the soup (to which I don’t remember the name but do ask them). The service was fast too.

    5. All the food that we ordered was sooo good ! The chicken was so tender and juicy. Beancurd is so cripsy on the outside and soft inside. Coconut soup is so fresh and sweet.

      Our most favorite dish is their classic homemade beancurd. A must try dishes if you are here. Need to come at an off peak hour to avoid crowd and long waiting time. It worth it.
