Restoran Chao Zhou serves a pretty good dim sum and most of the time I will definitely drop by for a breakfast here if I happen to be around this area. Plenty of seats available and at least when I went today, there are plenty more seats available. Service is very good as well.

As for the food, I ordered the siu mai and ha kao and they seem to be freshly prepared and the dumpling skin is still soft and moist. It is not thick or hardened at all. Pork meat inside is also juicy as well. They did not skim on the amount of prawn for the ha kao and I love every bite of it. The fried dishes is also very good imho.

Only problem here is limited parking. Actually i will park quite far away and just walk there. Unless you are lucky to get a parking spot in front of the restaurant. ?

This is not a bad place to grab a good dim sum breakfast. However parking in front of the shop is a major headache. More often than not, you won’t get a place to park. The solution is to park at the parallel main road behind the shop. Main road. Not the small interbuilding back lane. The shop is a corner lot so walking to and from the parallel backlane is an easy task.

This is one of the very few places to sit in an air con cool relaxing atmosphere for breakfast. Tables are comfortably placed and incredibly, the table cloth / cover is replaced with a new one after each diner party. Impressive.

As for the dim sum, I really enjoyed the wukok. Thin crunchy yam skin with generous tasty filling. The wan tan mee also looks delicious. The rest of the dim sum were above average in taste but nothing spectacular.

I would however avoid the Chee cheong fun. It was strangely compact and hard. I prefer mine to be silky soft. This was far from it. Some dim sum ‘skin’ were also a bit too thick than it should be. But taste wise enjoyable.

    1. It was a nice dinner here. Service was fast and friendly but dishes came out slow despite us being one of five tables who were already eating.

Fish was fresh and at Rm50+, not cheap but then prices of fish have gone up significantly.

Black bean stewed pork was soft and fall off the bones like home made.

    2. Had dinner twice there. The dishes are done to perfection, not salty nor oily. Service v good. Price reasonable. Cod fish melts at the first bite, super delicious.

    3. Food portion is rather small for the price paid. Used to have much bigger portion with better service. The four seasons platter was a disappointment and not worth the price paid.

    4. Food is superb! Love all the food served especially their yam dessert and almond paste with peach gum taste very good too! If there’s a chance I would want to try their breakfast dim sum next time!

    5. Dishes were tasted fine. Service was ok. The design is looking good for dinning. However, parking lots are so limited. It took about half an hour to find a parking lot.
