4 months agoA frustrating experience with Mr Decor aka. Beng Hwa Pte. Ltd.1. When my parents purchased from Randy, everything was promised including disposing of bedframe and mattress. It was stated in the invoice too.
2. During delivery, workers dragged the bedframe on the floor and disposed it on the lift lobby. This resulted in scratches on my marble flooring (see videos). Called their office and they had no one that can help me with. I didn’t pay the outstanding payment as I was extremely disappointed with the whole process. Randy called after that to check out and someone (let’s identify him as Person A) whatsapped me to ask me about the situation (I supposed Person A was their outsourced delivery)
3. During the call, Randy asked me to arrange my town council to dispose the bed frames though he promised when we were buying it. Person A told me to take videos of the scratches and will settle the scratches.
4. No updates for two weeks and workers turned up at my door suddenly yesterday to fix the scratches. Had to take urgent leave to supervise it.
Numerous huge redflags after the whole process was completed:
a. Salesperson Randy promised the sky to close the sales but underdelivered. Guess this is common in the furniture industry. But no excuse, as I did experience fabulous work from other furniture companies.
b. During the rectifying process, the company threw everything to Person A and I had to liaise with Person A entirely instead of the company? Irresponsible way of doing business and throw everything to their outsourced partner.
c. No updates for two weeks and turned up at my door randomly? At least notice me a few days before that and I can arrange. Dislike this surprise.
d. Upon researching online after all these, realised that Beng Hwa Pte. Ltd. had multiple bad reviews since 2011 and they tried to rebrand to MR decor?

Overall, be wary when dealing with this company. We should have done our online research on Mr Decor and Beng Hwa before we purchased. Luckily, we withhold the outstanding payment, else I think they wouldn’t bother about this matter.

Called her next day and she is very responsive and sent the photos to me immediately. The second my wife entered the shop, she was rudely greeted by an elderly sales clerk that gave us the impression that we were going to steal something. We were looking at the couches to buy for our house and was about to decide on something we found nice in the shop but because of this guy, we were completely turned off. He even commented rudely to me that “it’s still my job to follow you around” without saying anything else. It’s like he didn’t even allow us to be customers in the shop LOL.
