Went here to get a rabies vaccination. One doctor spoke some English, and with Google translate we were able to communicate okay. The service felt professional and I was done within 10 minutes of arriving. Paid 350,000 Kip for 1 rabies jab. The only improvement would be for the doctors to give a bit more reassurance and talk through any concerns, which I had to prompt to happen.

I would recommend this place for travellers looking for medical care in Pak Se.

Cut my foot and went there to get a tetanus shot, got also antibiotics and swelling medicine prescribed. All cost less than 230K Kips and the cut seems to be healing well. Of course, it’s far from western standards but the doctor who was also a receptionist and a nurse spoke English and helped me fast.

Doctors speak English and know what to do. The clinic has very modern equipment. Both unfortunately not a national standard. The slightly higher price compared to the state hospital around the corner is absolutely justified.

Sabaidee, Just come to share my experience. I was here last month, the service is quite slow because they change the new office system for registration and the staff still don’t understand well about the system, so it takes time quite long and many people waiting for the queue. I have registered in the system with my information and family documents but every time when I go to another section in the hospital they ask my family documents in every time (I don’t know why) they should have all my information when they see my register ID. *For Lao people: don’t forget to prepare your family documents because they will ask for the documents to register your information in the system and then you will have the small pink paper (in the picture) called a registered ID card and you will pay around 10,000 kip for the fee. *For the foreigner: I’m not sure about the documents (maybe just the photo copy of the passport) Anyway, with the new system it will be good and It will be helpful if they can understand well. Finally, I understand that the hospital is quite busy and many staff are tired with the patients but just need the doctor and nurse to smile to patients and show more good care to them is will be nice.
