  1. Overrated is sort of an understatement for this place. We ordered one grilled chicken, one fried chicken chop, one kopi O and one iced lemon, and one box of kemaman kopi satchets (costing RM23.9). All in, after tax, we paid RM100.

The food itself was underwhelming and for the same price we got better fare elsewhere.

If you’re coming in from a long drive from outstation, this isn’t worth a place stopping by for a quickly bite.

  2. We had dinner on a week night. There was not a lot of people around early in the evening, but the place got filled up as the night got later. It became very noisy which is normal for a kopitiam where you just relax and chat with friends. The night air was cool so we had no trouble with no air conditioning.

We had the black coffee which was good, and fried kuey teow, fried meehoon with Cantonese kuey teow. The food was well done, the bean sprouts was especially fresh and crispy, and the protein in the noodles was in abundance. Everything tastes good too. And yes, the issue is the pricing. You can easily spend more than RM20 for both food and drinks.

Otherwise this is just like any other chain kopitiam. You just go there for the local kopi and to chit-chat.

  3. The famous coffee was good. However, the cost of the food here is overpriced. We had 2 sets of bread, 1 small packet of nasi dagang and Cantonese yee mee, and the total bill was RM80+!

  4. We came for breakfast but does not have the appetite to eat much. Order their coffee and half boiled egg on toast. Coffee so so and we tabao some kuih as well but price wise quite expensive….

  5. Not good. Too sweet. I asked for milo kosong but they gave me with sugar and condensed milk. Always the same with tea tarik. I ask for tea tarik “kaw” but it’s not.

Kuantan boasts a vibrant cafe scene, and one hidden gem is Koffee Talk. Situated along the main road, you might need to slow down to spot this charming café. Ordering here is a breeze, with an extensive menu offering plenty of food choices to satisfy every palate.

During my visit, the friendly staff recommended their best seller, the Tomyam Carbonara. However, I found myself leaning more towards the Tomyam Aglio due to its bolder and richer flavor profile. If you’re into traditional Malaysian coffee, the “Kopi Borak” is akin to your classic “Kopi Kampung.”

For those with an adventurous palate, I tried their Lavender Latte, which had a subtle bitterness from the lavender syrup. It’s a unique twist worth exploring.

What adds to the charm of Koffee Talk is its convenient location. You can easily stroll over to the mural alley behind the shop, making it a delightful place for both coffee and art enthusiasts. Plus, it’s within walking distance of nearby attractions, making it a great pit stop during your exploration of Kuantan.
