4 months agoKuantan boasts a vibrant cafe scene, and one hidden gem is Koffee Talk. Situated along the main road, you might need to slow down to spot this charming café. Ordering here is a breeze, with an extensive menu offering plenty of food choices to satisfy every palate.During my visit, the friendly staff recommended their best seller, the Tomyam Carbonara. However, I found myself leaning more towards the Tomyam Aglio due to its bolder and richer flavor profile. If you’re into traditional Malaysian coffee, the “Kopi Borak” is akin to your classic “Kopi Kampung.”
For those with an adventurous palate, I tried their Lavender Latte, which had a subtle bitterness from the lavender syrup. It’s a unique twist worth exploring.
What adds to the charm of Koffee Talk is its convenient location. You can easily stroll over to the mural alley behind the shop, making it a delightful place for both coffee and art enthusiasts. Plus, it’s within walking distance of nearby attractions, making it a great pit stop during your exploration of Kuantan.
4 months agoCame to this cafe to quench our thirst during the Independence parade. Cosy environment and the portable aircond is effective for a quick cool down. Teh ice is too sweet though.a year agoThe cafe is clean, has attentive staff. One of the best coffee I have had in Kuantan. Mango Cheesecake was pretty good too. It is definitely worth the visit if you’re in this part of the town. Will definitely come again.12 months agoFish & Chips: Fries were ok. The fish, not sure if it was made to order, seems like it was from ready made frozen food. The batter was a bit soggy/oily. But taste is ok.Mushroom soup + garlic bread: Ok. Soup a bit watery.
Mango Cheesecake: no issues here. Standard taste.
Hot Honey Lemon: ok. No issues. Maybe a larger cup?
Washroom: can be improved.
Interior ambience is nice. Service were good.
a year agoLove the ambience. Staffs are friendly.Great food presentation. Foods are quite tasty but I think the taste of aglio olio can be improve.
All the drinks are superb. Love the Nom Yen (thai pink milk). Serve appetizing drinks.

4 months agoI recently visited Watak Kopi for a takeaway experience, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff who were more than happy to assist me.The place exudes great vibes, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your coffee. They have an extensive menu with numerous options to choose from, catering to every coffee lover’s taste.
I must give a special mention to the staff for suggesting their signature drink, the Kopi Kampung. It was an absolute delight and exceeded my expectations. The price for their offerings is quite reasonable, considering the quality and variety they offer.
Watak Kopi is definitely a hidden gem, and I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu. If you’re a coffee enthusiast like me, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful coffee haven. Highly recommended!
4 weeks agoI ordered three things from here: Roti bakar with kaya – 2.5/5 (too simple and the price is quite pricey) Corndog – 4/5 Kopi kampung – 4/5Overall, personally for me the price is quite expensive. Maybe because the cafe is near to the beach.
a week agoAnother coffee place to hangout..just walking distant to Menara 188 and the riverbank. Good place to chill with family and friends.5 months agoSuch a good place for coffee breaks and small bites. There are various types of toast available, and personally, I think the taste was quite good. The roti they used is the traditional kind of roti.
?Watak Kopi, Jalan Besar, Kuantan
a month agoHad roti john & kopi kampung. Would suggest roti john for sharing as it was OK at the very beginning but not to the extent of finishing it, not up to my sleeves. Kopi kampung was fragrant but abit too sweet imo. A few patrons came and asked for nasi lemak but were sold out.. it was early, before 10am.. Guess I should try nasi lemak if I ever visit again..

Overrated is sort of an understatement for this place. We ordered one grilled chicken, one fried chicken chop, one kopi O and one iced lemon, and one box of kemaman kopi satchets (costing RM23.9). All in, after tax, we paid RM100.
The food itself was underwhelming and for the same price we got better fare elsewhere.
If you’re coming in from a long drive from outstation, this isn’t worth a place stopping by for a quickly bite.
We had dinner on a week night. There was not a lot of people around early in the evening, but the place got filled up as the night got later. It became very noisy which is normal for a kopitiam where you just relax and chat with friends. The night air was cool so we had no trouble with no air conditioning.
We had the black coffee which was good, and fried kuey teow, fried meehoon with Cantonese kuey teow. The food was well done, the bean sprouts was especially fresh and crispy, and the protein in the noodles was in abundance. Everything tastes good too. And yes, the issue is the pricing. You can easily spend more than RM20 for both food and drinks.
Otherwise this is just like any other chain kopitiam. You just go there for the local kopi and to chit-chat.
The famous coffee was good. However, the cost of the food here is overpriced. We had 2 sets of bread, 1 small packet of nasi dagang and Cantonese yee mee, and the total bill was RM80+!
We came for breakfast but does not have the appetite to eat much. Order their coffee and half boiled egg on toast. Coffee so so and we tabao some kuih as well but price wise quite expensive….
Not good. Too sweet. I asked for milo kosong but they gave me with sugar and condensed milk. Always the same with tea tarik. I ask for tea tarik “kaw” but it’s not.
