2 months agoFood: 5/5. Loved the sweet sauce and curry. Service: 5/5. Reached the shop 5 mins before closing (rushed to revisit it during my recent short stay because it was that good), yet the worker greeted us in a friendly manner and told us no need to eat too fast. Thank you for that!6 months agoTheir signature is Chee Cheong Fun, you must try. Even when you eat plainly, still it’s smooth, tasty and thickness is just nice. Its not easily broken apart. This simple chinese traditional food, you would easily get from many different places. But this store signature, still there is a reason why they are famous till these days.A wide range of variety of Yong Tau Fu, white Tofu, and other deep fried items besides fishballs etc.
I tried something new – tahu sunbat with cucumber, sprinkle with some dried prawn. It’s tasty. They have desserts like red bean soup etc.
The place is clean and neat. Good service, polite, friendly and caring people.
A decent place and affordable price.
a year agoRM 9.8 for the meal and RM 2.7 for the drink. Frankly speaking, no a big fan of it. The ingredients are all pre-cooked and to be deep into boiling water when being ordered. The curry is bad that you basically tasted nothing and when paired with the Chee Chong Fun, it gets worst, as the CCF can’t absorb the curry and its just lousy.
The lady is rather stingy on the curry too, originally only gave a small scoop of it and when I ask for a little more curry, her face is just displease.
10/10 would not recommend and definitely would not return.
2 years agoNice range of Yong Tau Foo here, served with chee cheong fun, available in curry sauce or sweet sauce. One piece Yong Tau Foo is RM1.40, portion quite big, and very yummy. Also available place for dine in. Parking can be an issue here when there’s morning market, after 2pm typically easier to find parking.2 years agoCurry chee cheong fun was delicious. Especially the curry was addictive. But, comparing to last time that I tried 5 years ago, standard dropped. From 5 stars last time to 4 stars now

The garlic bread and butter croissant taste good.
Wantan noodle is just average for me.
Service is good and fast.
After weeks of suppressed curiosity and craving, I finally set foot in this corner coffee shop. My eyes were locked-on a stall serving steamed ginger fish slices with vermicelli. A particular type of noodles were used, which retained the texture when cooked. Extraordinary and mouth-watering good taste. The fried kwey-teow also worth trying.
Their pan mee stall is open only in the morning and afternoon. I love their pan mee (both soup and dry, but the dry one is AMAAAAZZZING). I keep coming back almost every few days ? Add an egg.. And you’ll definitely fall in love!! I also love their Sam Kan Cheong, which is also open in the morning and afternoon only!!
There is roti bakar kawin but no roti stim. The roti bakar was actually slightly burnt. The kopi C is disappointingly lacking of evaporated milk.
Tried the Taiping duck egg fried kuehteow. Worth the try. But the chicken rice is definitely below par.
Perhaps next time will give the sam-kan-chung noodles a try. Maybe even the “pan-mee”. Asam laksa is almost like you can get in Penang but the price (RM8) is a huge difference from the market stalls in Penang (RM5).
This corner shoplot is quite spacious as there are available space for tables at the side. Parking could be a challenge depending on the time of the day.
My favourite food in this kopitiam is the steamed ginger minced pork rice noodles.
