3 weeks agoFirst time trying this place (and probably about 25 years since I last stepped into Penang Plaza) – we decided to have dim sum lunch at this restaurant after a few days of western food in Penang.Food was nice, and portions are big and decently priced too. The dim sum menu was adequate though would have been better if there was more variety.
It’s open air car park and there are limited lots available.
Overall it was a good place for our lunch.
a month agoWe have been relishing the wonderful dishes at Noble Season Restaurant, (top floor Penang Plaza) for many years. Our favourites are Chicken with salted fish in a claypot & Sweet & Sour Pork. Dim Sum is also worth trying. ?? The memorable service by a wonderful & efficient lady called Kai Ling is one of the reasons we keep returning. She is a valuable asset to this restaurant.6 months agoHonest rating after multiple visits: 5-star service (attentive staffs/serve food super fast after placing orders) , 5-star freshness of food ingredients, 5-star chef’s cooking skill (top notch) , 5-star dining atmosphere, 4-star food decorations, with quite reasonable/affordable charges (at least 30% cheaper than some very high-end Chinese restaurants around), those are enough for our family with kids to visit there repeatedly. Such a hidden gem, highly recommend!a month agoWent there for dim sum on Sunday morning. The setting is very good, but the food is just average, and the waiting time is very long. It took 30 minutes to serve my order, and we waited another 30 minutes for my takeaway order before leaving. I would recommend thinking twice before patronising.6 months agoWent there for dim sum but was so disappointed. Bad service, 1. No one leads us to the table, we have to walk in ourselves. 2. Ordered apple juice but got cancelled without letting us know. Reordered the just as we thought we missed it, only informed us juice is not available when we follow up again. 3. Placed order at 9:07am, the print order chit captures the time 9:11am. First steam dish was served after 40 mins, and last dish was after 1 hour and 15 mins. Price is reasonable, but most of their dishes are quite salty.

a week agoThis is the place for good Chinese dishes at reasonable prices. It tends to get full during weekends so best to make a reservation beforehand. They have quite a wide selection of dishes available but their prawn rolls was especially good, beautifully fried and very tasty.2 months agoa very good Oriental restaurant and has been visiting this place since the past 15 years.dishes are never a disappointment and always live up to expectations, booking need to be done especially on weekends.
shark fin soup is one of the best I have tasted in Penang, a must try. Peking duck, oyster noodles, prawn and spring rolls are also really delicious. Squid is a little pricey but worth it as the texture is soft and scrumptious
2 months agoThis restaurant is famous for its food. Certain dishes must be pre ordered so check with them first. Ask for their speciality dishes to get the best. Taste wise it’s really not great. If you want to try better make reservations on weekends though. It’s going to be packed. Parking wise it’s a little hassle but there’s parking available if you know where to find it at a cost. Price wise a little high ? For seven of us with 5 dishes and 1 dessert, total is almost RM500 ? I don’t feel it’s worth it though.in the last weekCame in and we were immediately seated with the menus. We ordered the peaking duck, steam veggies and the shrimp in oat. All were delicious, especially the duck. The staff were helpful and kind. Definately recommend coming here! Prices are also reasonablea month agoOverall food standard was very good, portion big enough and the price was very reasonable. Crispy chicken and the brinjal with sambal was good. But the fried rice was exceptionally good. The whole place is Air-conditioned.

Been coming to this place ever since I moved back. IMHO, one of the best Penang Fried Kway Teow available in Singapore! The Prawn Noodles is also quite good and I always order their Otah. Assam Fish Head is also one of my favourites.
But the queues during weekend can be quite scary, all along the corridor and snaking around the bend. Be prepared.
The Char kway teow is fantastic, must try! The salted egg mantis shrimp is superb. Gets really crowded during lunch and diner time.
Came here for a lunch meet-up with friends. Food were good, service was fast.
?The Nyonya curry was thick and spiced mildly.
?Babi Pontei was sweet but pork was a tad too fat.
?Fried Sotong & Fish were fried crispy yet light, very nice to munch on.
?Spinach and ?Chendol were okay.
Happened to be in that area, so we visited the much talked about place for the first time
— chendol…… So so
— prawn mee… . Soup not much prawn taste
— Fishball kwe tiao……. Fishball ball fishy and looked low grade to us. Did not like the taste of the soup.
that was our experience and all didn’t meet our expectations. Sorry we are not part of the many followers.
This Penang restaurant truly captures the authentic flavors of Malaysia. While the prawn noodles might not quite match those in Penang, their fried noodles are genuinely delicious. Moreover, they offer a delightful 奶油虾姑, while in Singapore, you probably only able found 虾婆 instead. The cendol is also excellent and highly recommended!
