The 7 Best Chinese Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Fish maw soup is not bad with a hearty amount of ingredients. The pork ribs are tasty where the gravy coats the ribs very nicely. The chicken doesn’t quite work for me though. I personally enjoyed the vegetarian mushroom with veg dish. The steamed fish had a fishy taste so quite a number of us didn’t quite like it.

The black sesame mochi is worth a mention where the skin is soft and smooth. The black sesame filling is fragrant. There was the sea coconut soya milk as dessert which is a combination that is a little strange to me despite loving sea coconut.

If it’s your first time here, beware of the waitress that takes your order. There’s no menu to see even though we’ve requested for one, and the waitress said she’ll just recommend you verbally. Here’s the catch – she’ll just sell you the most expensive items and expect you to know what items she’s selling and couldn’t careless to explain. She did not even ask if we wanted the size to be small, medium or large, and just assumed based on the number of pax. We had a few elderly that couldn’t eat much, but the waitress just assumed large for all the dishes. Asking for the bill was also a pain.

Overall, to avoid being disappointed, just expect Hong Kong kopitiam style kind of service here.

Food wise was just ok, but honestly the service here just spoils the whole experience.

Lovely dim sum restaurant like they used to do it in the good old days! Food was delicious and serving sizes were generous. The restaurant can cater to large groups and functions. We had our family brunch and was not disappointed. Expect a wait and crowds on the weekend. Highly recommend a visit. ?

Recommended by our friends staying in KL to try out this DimSum place at PJ33. Very typical HK style dim sum in trolley where you can pick your dishes.

The Carrot Cake LO BAK GO 萝卜糕 just melts in your mouth. We ordered the typical CHEONG FUN 肠粉, HAR GOW 虾饺, SIU MAI 烧卖, FUNG ZAO 凤爪, and Porridge.

Service was also fast and very attentive. That’s good ?

    1. Authentic china Cuisine in Petaling Jaya. Being visiting them since long time ago. 水煮鱼 is their signature dish but personally love their century egg tofu. Do remember to make reservation before you visit to avoid disappointment.

    2. A place i would definitely revisit and recommend for those who crave for chinese food!

Chilling ambience and environment suitable for chit chatting and dining.

Best recommend their 水煮鱼! Served in a large pot with lot of fresh fish slices and noodles! And their signature 辣子鸡! here you will never have to find a chicken from the mountain of chillis but it work the other way round. Each piece of them are full with the chilli fragrance but not spicy!

Whereas i also love their 香脆土豆片! It taste salty but afterward we just cant stop eating it.

    3. The restaurant specialises in Hunan dishes from China. The menu is quite interesting and offers quite a lot of variety for fishes, pork, chicken and other veges.
We ordered the twice-cooked pork, shredded pork in golden sauce and Lao Gan Ma fried rice. Overall these few dishes are quite tame in terms of taste, but they’re pretty fragrant. The twice cooked pork is the tastiest and I would recommend that to try.
The fried rice however is the most bland one.
Would come back again to give other dishes a try, read that their signature is the fish slices.
Service is pretty fast. And the restaurant can get pretty packed. So do make reservation before coming over if you have no backup options.
It’s located on Level 1, up the stairs.

    4. Authentic Chinese restaurant with reasonable price and generous portion. Their spicy malat fish (shui zhu yu) come with noodle (mee sua), and it is not very spicy. Overall, I would recommend dried chilies chicken (La zi ji), and their spicy fried potato (Suan la tu dou si). Both of the dishes are very good. They also allowed to bring your own alcohol without charges. Suitable for normal quick lunch/ dinner. You may park at the plaza 33.

    5. Great place to eat spicy Chinese food and prices are reasonable for the portion.

Can try the Pig Ear in red Chilli Oil, Stir fry chicken gizzard. Don’t be scared or turned off, just try one bite and you will enjoy it.

I recommend choosing 2 dish for 2 pax, so best to go in a group of 4 or more to try other dishes.

Payment is touch n go, maybankQR, and cash.
