Let me break down for you in 3 simple reasons why you should not come here:
1. Respect your own time and save yourself the misery & money (literally). This Tampines Shell Kiosk has had problems with their POS system so many times. Meaning you can’t even scan your Shell membership or use preferred credit cards to get your discount or cashback. Today they made us wait almost 30mins with NO solution. Didn’t even communicate with us on how long it would take to resolve the issue.
2. Staff have no idea what to do when this happens. Don’t even have a clue on what contingency solution there is. Once again, you lose time and possibly money. They just say, “You want faster go off, just pay cash & full amt”
3. No attempts of customer recovery or compensation. Even after making payment, there is no attempt from the staff to apologise for this mishap, don’t even offer compensation? I mean its your problem right? At least you should offer something from your customers giving up their discounts. Mind you, it’s an additional 16% discount that I gave up today. Plus the points which is a further opportunity for future redemptions.
Counter personnel work like sloths even when there’s not much of a queue on normal days. Mainly because they don’t even know what buttons to press. Not to mention their attitudes while serving customers.
This morning I came, pump attendant standing beside my car talking to another attendant instead of assisting me with the petrol refill.
Not that I don’t know how to pump myself, but this type of working attitude, better stay at home.
28 Jul 515pm, I was at pump 4, saw the attendant was chit chatting with another attendant and not attending to me, so I self pumping this time.
While making payment indoor, the customer in front of me got a small free gift for doing self pumping, so I requesting for mine, but I got the cashier showing black face and claim ONLY pump 1 & 2 entitle, I politely ask again then she keep silent and ignore me 🙁
My car tyre was totally flat and was stranded with my cat. The staff Mr Fong Kok Fai extended his assistance to me. He tried to get my tyre pumped up. Although unsuccessful, I really appreciated his help.
While waiting for technical assistance from workshop, he told placed cones to inform other cars rather than I need to go explain why I could not move my car.

Bad attitude over pump not being on the same side as petrol inlet.
Got ignored just because of that and i was being questioned how long have i been driving. The pump can stretch over to pump right? Why so inflexible? Even the hose is more flexible than human brain?
Repeated experience! Staff not aware of promotions that they are running.. it’s obvious on the product tag and crates. Either the manager is not doing the job of updating both product or staff or the promotions are just for show.
