The 7 Best Korean Restaurant in Ang Mo Kio

Place was decent. It was crowded even on a Friday at 5.50pm. The team there was efficient. Collected SGD 22 per pax nett. I think easily one of the most value Korean BBQ I have been too.

Food choices are decent. Good meat (beef pork chicken), prawns, sausages, squid, and fried stuff. Also had lettuce and some fruits. For starters they had coleslaw, wakame, black fungus and potato strips China style. Sauces wise they had a few standard sauces but I don’t think I saw sesame sauce etc. There were tones of garlic cloves tho.

Their fritters and fried stuff are decent too. They have those breaded fish fillet, fried wings, etc. Drinks wise they had some soft drinks, those juices etc.

The service was good too, with them changing the charred paper below as soon as they can. I think we had 4 changings for the 1hr + we were there. And despite it being crowded, they did not pressure us to leave in an all too obvious way. Rather they did it subtly by asking us if we need to change the paper etc, and with a big smile on their face. At this price point, I can totally understand their plight, and more importantly, they did it subtly, respectfully, and with a smile.

The only not so good point is the smell. As one of the user mentioned, the ventilation ain’t the best so my clothes smelt heavily of BBQ. A decent enough place to have a happy meal with a friend tho. More importantly, decent service with good price, even if they are located in the middle of nowhere.

It’s very far to the end of Amk ITE. Got to walk a little from the bus stop. Considered a good range of meat. Pork, beef & chicken. Prawn, fish, sotong & cooked food also available. There’s free flow drinks too. Staffs are friendly. They only have cash & paynow payment. They asked if I’m alright to pay them cash which I did. We had a party of 6 so I asked if we could sit at the table with 2 grills probably for 7-8 pax as the table for 6 persons only have a grill. Although they don’t have time limit to dine, but the grill is really too small for 6 person. It’s only $132 for 6 person at dinner timing.

Saw many reviews so came to try. Overrated! Disappointed!!! Meat are not well marinated, does not have wide range of food. Prawns are not fresh. Not worth trying.

Came upon this place while searching for Korean food nearby Mayflower.

We ordered these items for 3 pax; 1) Mini Army Stew 2) Tofu Bibimbap 3) Toppokki 4) Fried Chicken (Spicy, 6 pc)

While it’s not disappointing, it’s also not satisfying. Food portions are alright, nothing stood out in particular except the fried chicken. They’re well marinated and spiced but lack the Korean touch, maybe it’s the skin that’s not separated well enough from the chicken meat.

    1. Great slices of meat would highly recommend coming here as its a bang for your buck! Drink choices are great and side dishes taste nice too. There is steamboat and kbbq so it’s not too slow

    2. The service was really good. The people there were really nice. For example, they would pick up a utensil you dropped and get you a new one. They would also ask to change the paper on the grill for you without asking them in the first place. And the food was NICE, especially the beef

    3. Utensils are clean, meat are marinated well and just nice for the taste, not too salty… place is also clean and friendly staffs. Best to call in to book table as we came in right start of the restaurant open and within 3minutes tables were filled with people

    4. We celebrated my dad’s birthday here and there was an array of food!! My parents commented that the desserts were too sweet + the meats were salty (just like every asian senior). However, my brother and I felt that everything was nicely seasoned & we really enjoyed the bacon!!

    5. Second time back here after covid. Came once when they re-open with limited five pax as per covid regulations and the standard was not there. Came on 13 Jan 2024 and was surprised that the standard has risen. The meat products are fresh and the cooked offerings are pretty good example Korean Chicken Wings and the Vegetables Fritters. Love the shabu shabu sliced pork belly. The beancurd skin and the fishball stuffed with fish roe. The only thing that i felt should be looked into is the 90 mins timing. Maybe management can consider two hours as i felt i am rushing eating to meet the dateline
