The 7 Best Library in Kuantan

Localbiz Cover

I’ve been to Library Raja Tun Uda in Shah Alam govern by PPAS and the charge rate was RM2/day instead by hour. I’ve been to Library in Putrajaya and they never charge at all (surprisingly).

I wonder if the people living in Kuantan can afford that rate especially students. Imagine if staying there for a day 9am-5pm (5 hours average) equal to RM10. In 10 days it cost RM100.

I felt that it is not public library anymore but private library (profit oriented). I hope the management see this review and review back on the decision made.

Internet very poor. Each time open locker have to pay 50 cents, if no 50 cent coin have to change first. What a stupid rubbish. Charging laptop charged RM2 per hour while in Selangor only charge RM 1 whole day. Could not bring bag inside. Then have to put in small but expensive locker while look like a fool bring all your stuff with 2 hands. What kind of public library is which suppose cater the need of public but making money instead

Condusive. Suitable to do thesis. I hope the library can be open everyday, even public holiday & weekend. As a student, we’re familiar with classes on weekdays that end at 4-5 pm. Not student-friendly as it close on weekend and public. We only have weekend & public to look for more books! I hope gov can improve operation hou. Tq.

The library is very condusive and comfortable to study at. The library collection is okay, but not quite as expansive. I tried searching for books on cyber security but was very disappointed to find only 2 English books related to the subject. The library online catalogue is not intuitive enough. Some of the books are available but their location is not specified. Some do have their location updated but it’s quite ambiguous as to which department the book is located. Also, the WiFi is very, very slow, troublesome (I use Linux, so setting up the connection required some thinkering), and YouTube is blocked! Not a very good study place if you’re going to rely on video tutorials, but if you don’t mind the WiFi, it’s still quite okay.
