Supposed room cleaning service should be done before 3pm, which is 12pm-3pm as guests usually must check out before 12pm. My family and I waited from around 9pm until 11pm+ still haven’t check in, and they said that they are cleaning their room. Imagine coming back from playing whole day and they still haven’t prepare a room for us. Also, the receptionist’s attitude is terrible and egoistic. There are also another customers waiting for their room and even argued with the receptionists as they’ve also waited for 2 hours above. Please do not come to this hotel, pure garbage.

Reka Hotel looks simple but neat hotel. Front Desk Officer, Ms Yvonne Ng is very friendly and easy to deal with. She has a friendly attitude towards customers and often smiles even though he looks tired. keep it up Yvonne!

Check in at the small office next to KK mart. Only one lift operational. 30% occupancy, 70% abandoned units. All male foreigners. KK mart fully stocked, a few grocery shops and local food restaurants to cater to local residents. Newly renovated room. Bad security, sliding doors cannot be locked. Main door only one electronic lock without dead bolt from inside. Found bed bugs on the bed. Enjoyed squishing them as they emerged from the bed frame on the white sheets. Water heater provided but cold even at maximum setting. Overall good value for money, not recommended for female travellers.

As a solo traveler, for RM 150 per night (Room rates may vary depending on seasons and availability), you get a big room with all the neccessities: a TV, kitchen appliances and kitchenware, fans (yea seriously, never thought anyone would use fans in someplace already cold but that’s definitely a plus!), a fridge, tableware, a dining table and chairs, a water heater, a queen bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a couch and a coffee table. I really couldn’t have asked for more. What’s even more notable is that they did a great job keeping the room and the balcony clean despite the horrifically cold and humid weather. I was expecting algae growing all over on the balcony but i was wrong. Truly had a blast staying here and there will definitely be a next time! 😀

The room are wide and worth for money (rm 300 per night, for two-bedroom apartment) booking by Agoda .The owner are very helpful. The parking so slippery as the water stagnates on the floor. Do wear shoes for safety. The lobby also in maintenance. Recommended to stay here if you come in a big group (preferred accompanied with men). The process for check in not really pleasant experience as the staff (receptionist) not really understand what we said (i think foreigner) and he not really welcoming and approachable. My room are very wide and comfortable. The issue arise are handle well by the owner (owner fast response). Overall, i recommended to you to stay here if you 1) come in a group (not recommended for girl) as the location quite isolate and lot of foreigner here 2) not really care to stay in building that have maintenance (damp parking, under maintenance lobby, lift also under maintenance) 3) just want to stay for sleep. Im statisfied with the room but not with the building.

    1. Stayed here when I visited Genting, the room was okay, don’t expect it to be very new or clean. There are also no amenities so remember to bring your own toothbrush. However, the location is really really good. It’s located right in the center of the mall/amusement park so it’s really easy to access it. There are also shops on the ground level that are open till late so you can have supper there.

    2. Location of the hotel to theme park, shopping and dining is convenient. Booked a standard room and a Y5 triple room, suggest a chair to be placed in the hotel room for sitting. Encounter in the standard room, no mini fridge and worst part no bed made -up was done, Only 2 towels was given by room service.

    3. We get the 3 rooms at tower 2. Although booked 3 rooms but unable to get at same floor or connecting room.
Remember to prebook to enjoy lowest rate.
      Room is clean and simple.
The room service guy come in early in the morning around 8+ which made us shocked ?

    4. Very upset with their self-check in kiosk. It suppose to speed up the check-in process but doesn’t seem so. Software & network seems to be unstable & slow. We managed to only get our room at 3rd kiosk after about 1.5hours.
      – 1st kiosk: half way through the procedure, system suddenly had error message and staff informed us that the kiosk system had some issue
2nd kiosk: Unable to issue room card when it’s out turn.
3rd kiosk: only managed to grab a room after trying 2-3times due to slow network

Please upgrade your software & network to support the huge traffic if you wanna continue to with self-service kiosk else I rather sat down and wait to be served by the customer service personnel (like in the past).

    5. Was there during Christmas with a friend at about noon time, was thinking to pay for the early check in, so we could drop off our luggage and head out for our lunch. In the end, it took us more than 1.5hrs for the check-in process.

As it has been quite a while ever since we were in Genting/First World Hotel, we are unsure about the check-in process. There were no clear direction/indicator on what we should do for check in. There were long queues at the front counters, long queues at the kiosks and also luggage storage counters.

However, no staffs were giving clear instructions. We had to go to ask the staff multiple times, and they also barely gave us clear instructions. After several attempt we queued at a check-in kiosk that allows us to check-in that allows us to pay with cash. However, the lady in front of us was hoarding the queue (took her more than 30-60 minutes), as she was checking in for 3 rooms or more, at times there were strangers walked up to her, trying pay her to help with check in. Some even paid the staffs (into their pocket) to expedite the process

When it was our turn, the kiosk just went error. We had to go look for other kiosks, it only works after we got to the 3rd machines. Also, the hotel does not provide free wifi, the room only comes with two bath towels.

First World Hotel, please improve your check in system and kiosks as its not helping with the large crowd.
