3 weeks agoDecided to bring my cat, Kitty here for her terrible wheezing episodes after reading the reviews online and did not regret at all! The appointment booking process was seamless; they managed to accommodate to my last minute request. The vets are very attentive, caring and knowledgeable and the front counter staffs are professional. I also love how the area is spacious too, which provides comfort to Kitty. The fees are also quite affordable. Overall, I’m amazed at the service offered and will strongly recommend to others!a month agoCannot recommend them highly enough. Place is clean, well ventilated and have ample space for my French bulldog to run around.Staff and doctors were all very polite and attentive to my needs. Doctor is very polite and professional and explained in detail to me and my parents about my dog’s medical condition and proposed course of treatment. Vet is not only a vet but also a animal dietitian that’s a definite plus for me.
Will definitely make this place my no one Vet to go to. Very highly recommended
a month agoSpacious, Clean and most importantly, there is a private waiting area for cats!! Dr Denyse is very attentive and professional. She is very informative and is also sincere in treating our Pudding. As a pet owner, we know that our Pudding is in good hands. The clinic is also very well equipped. Beyond standard services, they even offer other comprehensive solution such as medical boarding and quarantine services. Additional to it, in my opinion, the cost is extremely reasonable I would say.3 months agoThe best Vet that I’ve ever been to. Love how concerned they were! you guys are the best!4 months agoA huge thank you to the vets and nurses at Canopy vets for helping my Ginger get better from his flu. The Cat-only waiting area really helped keep Ginger calm and reduce her stress levels.

3 months agoThis place is damn messed up and i wish i honestly read the reviews beforehand. Here is my honest review.My MAIN intention is just to go and get my 2 & a half month kitten vaccinated. I’ve the price as it’s written $55 and i was just expecting to pay up to another $20 max for any other fees (consultation etc.) Upon arrival, they took me and my kitten to the room and they said her nails were very long and sharp so they went on to trim it WITHOUT even asking if i want it to be trimmed because I myself have a trimmer at home for my cat. But then i thought they were doing it out of being nice and so that my cat might not scratch in the process of being vaccinated. & they proceed to accidentally cut too much on one of my cat’s nail and he bled from that. (you can see a small red spot). Yes this could be cos of the cat’s movement but i believe you should be well trained as a vet, If i’ve trimmed it before why can’t YOU, a vet trim it better than me?
Secondly, my cat had ear infection and so they decided to clean it and i already saw my expense going up by abit. HOWEVER, the part that irritates me the most is, i did not ask to see the ticks/mites under the microscope, the vet herself proceeded to check under the microscope and she asked me if i wanted to see. I thought she was asking me out of curiosity and i agreed. and i was charged for this. not only that, she proceeded to tell me SHE wanted to show me a different kind of mite that lives on the fur. and so i just went along and said sure. and YET i was charged for this as well.
At the end, my bills went up from expecting $55 to $235.80. Up to 3 unnecessary checks were made ( Trimming, 2x microscope) and they gave me extra medication that i did not even ask for because i know i can get shampoos that helps to get ride of fleas but they decided to give me a medication for the fur that cost $50 itself. I find this so unreasonable because there was no communication made to me. I was only told that i would be getting ONE medication for the ear which cost $19 and yet i was given 2 extra medications which cost $27.80 & $50. They are not transparent with their procedures at all.
i would HIGHLY NOT recommend this place to pet owners. It’s honestly daylight robbery
6 months agoMy cat suffered from ingrown claws badly that i decided to pick Point Veterinary Surgery since it was closest to my home. Made an appointment through the phone 2 days ago, and the staff was patient with me answering all my enquiries.From registering at the counter to collecting back my cat, the process was smooth, and i must say the staff were all friendly and thoroughly update me on the situation. They explain on how to aftercare the wound and make me feel calm since I was worrying a lot about my cat.
The wound might take a while to heal and because i trust in you guys, what’s important is my cat is out of danger.
Dr. Shubhra was really patient and attentively cared to my cat. Normall, my cat would be aggressive especially when she is in pain around strangers.

a week agoLeaving a review specifically because our visit with Dr Jason left such a bitter taste in our mouths. Firstly, I want to clarify that I understand that the work of a vet and vet tech/nurses is incredibly tiring and hard. Managing pets of different personalities in an ethical and safe way can be very tricky and challenging as well.However, whilst I do understand it can be hard and difficult to handle anxious dogs like ours, Dr Jason’s constant passive aggressive remarks, tone-deaf behaviour such as huffing and puffing blatantly in front of us when we tried to get our dog to calm down for a check and repeated negative comments on how he cannot do this & that (on hindsight, these sounded more like excuses) because of our dog. He did not even try to build any form of rapport with our dog at the start and nor did he try to approach our dog gently (clinic was also empty at that time, so I doubt the clinic being busy is a good reason). Even if he has to rush us, the remarks and behaviour were extremely unprofessional. The only reason why we did not confront him immediately was because we did not feel like our dog was safe and just wanted to get him out as soon as possible.
We are, however, thankful for the vet nurses/vet techs who were asked to help for trying their best to soothe our dog’s nerves with us and even tried to initiate play with him to make his visit comfortable – especially one particular vet tech/nurse who helped us handle him towards the end.
We only came back to the clinic because Dr Hali & Dr Shubhra left such a great impression on us previously and we regret not specifically requesting for Dr Hali/ Shubhra during this visit! They made our dog’s past visits so pleasant and comfortable even though he was just as stressed then.
in the last weekExtremely rough and unethical veterinary. My puppy is a 3 month old Goldie & we went to this vet for his first vaccination. We were recommended by our breeder that the pricing is affordable. We were expecting to spend maybe $100+ but the total bill went up to $200. We were fine with it since it was his first health check up. We went for his 2nd vaccination today with Dr Jason, I was in a culture shock with how he & his assistant’s handled our puppy and told my boyfriend this is the “asian parenting” way of handling dogs if you get what I mean.Anyway true enough, my puppy came out with an abrasion near his groin. As they had to shave the fur for easier application of medication, he told me it was because he was moving & that the abrasion was okay not a big deal…. hahaha as a professional vet wouldn’t you know how to handle dogs/puppies that are moving? They provided us with some cream to sooth the abrasion but damn. Super unprofessional & careless, definitely not coming back for the 3rd vaccination.
They even sold us some flea & tick medication which cost us $60+ (they gave us a choice) but like… was it really necessary? Wished I had read the other reviews, horrible experience.
3 months agoI brought my 3month old kitten for vaccination and the cost was supposed to be $55. Then, during the consultation, the Vet carried out so many unnecessary procedures, “acting in good faith” but to realised that everything was charged. Final bill became $235. Nothing was transparent. Would not recommend. Please find another Vet that is more transparent.

I came here again today for medical check, and as always, the team at Island Vet Jurong is welcoming and greets me with warm joy.
I left him for a while here to perform some medical checks, and he was handled very professionally and nicely. When Chewie was ready to go, the team helped bring his carrier and chewie out and passed him back to me.
I think this is rare to see such joy and enthusiasm. I have been to other cls but at Island Vet It feels authentic lime and real that they care for our lovely pets ?

Dental package is reasonable (yes gst increased in 2023). I’m here to write a personal experience and I feel very comfortable at this Vet as I am at my dog’s usual vet at The Animal Clinic (Sunset way) – The bill is transparent and consultation is clear about what happens to my dog for dental scaling & polishing. My 10yo dog and I am happy with the outcome. My 10yo dog has never brushed her teeth and I want to start now. I came / chose the vet clinic for dental expertise and did my own research / study of what the dental procedure requires or cost. I highly recommend the dental services offered by the vet clinic based on my experience. Never too old to start good dental hygiene! My dog’s dental is done by Dr Chrisma ?
I’m thankful such a dental service is available (that I am able to choose what gets done) by experienced vets. ??
I brought my dog pepper down to island vet for checks as he was a stray puppy that my family found. Everyone in this clinic is so welcoming and friendly, treating pepper as if it’s their dog! Dr Phoon is really patient in answering all of my questions and you can tell she is truly passionate and deeply cares for the pets that comes in. Pepper is now a healthy 5 month old pup and everyone in the clinic has seen him grown up to a big boi from a small baby! Pepper is always so excited to see everyone in the clinic, the receptionists vet techs vets etc, and they are also equally excited to see him when he comes in! Very grateful for everyone here to make my pets feel welcomed when we come as well as the patience towards the worried human parents too !

Superb service and follow up by Dr. Amelia. First time there as the usual vet is closed for holiday and thankful for them to allow walk in despite near closing time. But will definitely change to them for their service. Even the nurse provide good service and kind advice.
I am very thankful for Dr Pathma and her team of nurses for taking very good care of my dog. It was the best decision I have made to send my dog here when no other vet around my area allows walk-in. I was there 30mins before the clinic opens and Dr Pathma happened to walk passed the entrance and saw me waiting outside the clinic, without hesitation she came out to check on my dog. She did empathise that the clinic is not yet opened but she still proceeded with the registration for my dog. For that, I am very thankful for her kindness and professionalism.
Both the test and diagnosis was done promptly. What made my experience with Dr Pathma and her nurses mostly memorable was that they went the extra mile to update me on his progress and genuinely care for my dog’s comfort in the environment during his 3 days stay in the facility. It has been close to 2 weeks since my dog’s discharged from the clinic and I am still able to get assistance from the clinic and Dr Pathma on my dog’s condition. Thank you so much!
As for rates and charges, I think this clinic is on the mid to higher tier range but I can understand that this is somewhat necessary to maintain a certain level of the quality in the services provided.
