2 months agoWe ate here almost every day for the week we were in Vientiane. By the end of the week, the proprietor knew we were coming and had our table arranged and the fan on. Every dish we tried was outstanding and the prices are very low, especially for the quality of the food. The coconut coffee and mango sticky rice pancake are standouts. I also recommend the coconut soup.3 months agoTasty food at such reasonable prices. Loved this hole-in-the-wall cafe and it was worth the walk.Coconut coffee was the best I’ve had yet across Vietnam and Laos, and mango pancake was generously served with a thick slices of mango. Hot cocoa was thick and enjoyable too.
a month agoCome here!!! I still dream about the coconut shake. Awesome green curry and fabulous mango pancake. The staff are so kind. So affordable. The pad lao was good. A beautiful environment to sit in and great bathroom as well. A must go when in Vientiane!!a month agoA mix of Lao and tropical western food such as mango sticky rice pancakes and fried bananas with dipping mocha. Delicious and fun. A beautiful setting and a chance to nosy down little Vientiene alleyways. Close enough to walk to after a visit to COPE.in the last weekI took the Chinese sweet n sour stir fry beef. Too watery, too little beef n veg (which was pre-prepared not fresh) and mostly rice

a month agoThe banhmi was OK. The meatballs were good. I didn’t like the eggs with steak because there was no flavor. The best thing about this place was the bread. Crispy and fresh.2 months agoI love PVO and come here regularly for lunch — it’s a popular fixture in Vientiane and locally famous for a reason. Lots of great Vietnamese options and fruit shakes available. The Banh Mi (Kao Gee) are popular, very filling, and really affordable. On my last visit I had grilled pork and rice noodles served with a plate of fresh lettuce, basil, and other greens. The first bite (and each one after) was amazing — just really delicious, I can’t get enough of this dish. I also like PVO’s wide selection of fruit shakes. I typically finish up with coffee across the street, but always stop to buy some of their ready made items — spring rolls, or even better, some of the grilled pastry/desserts. Fish shaped breads filled with taro or grilled shredded coconut — desserts familiar to people who’ve also traveled through Thailand. The service is quick and efficient — this is a busy restaurant, but honestly it’s one of the things I love the most. Lots of locals, expats, and tourists in the know eating together — the restaurant has energy. If you’re looking for a quiet meal, it’s best to eat off hours, but if you’re seeking a good, busy vibe, this place is tops.
in the last weekGood food I come to this place at least twice a month. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking spots especially during lunchtime.a month agoGreat vietnamese food and great atmosphere. Service is excellent! I love their passion fruit soda. Yum yum! ?3 months agoA wonderful find near the center of Vientiane. Run by a Vietnamese family, everything is authentic, everything is fresh. Whether you have time to sit and enjoy, or are grabbing a Ban-Mi (bread is baked in front of you) on the road. It’s a top, top, meals.
