There are many markets in Battambang but this is the biggest. There are different sections from clothes, jewellery, cosmetics, eatery to fresh produce. Eating here is pocket friendly but can get hot and stuffy. As you know, all markets are similar. If you need to buy, then you need to be there. This market is not really crowded.

Ta Dumbong Kro Nhong is a significant landmark in Battambang, Cambodia. The giant statue of a man holding a black stick stands at a prominent roundabout and is easily recognizable with its bright colors. Legend has it that Ta Dumbong was a cow herder who used a magic stick to overthrow a king. Visitors often bring lotus flowers and assorted donations as offerings while saying prayers for good luck.

A perfect setting to see one of natures outstanding performance. The bats exit via a cut in the side of the hill at dusk. Plenty of food stalls set up aling the road with spectacular views of two carvings of Buddah. Well worth the visit.
We went by TukTuk with Mr Polo. $15 with a few points of interest along the way.
