  If you have dollars then the exchange price is more when you have 100 dollar bill (USD), for 10 or 20 dollar bills it’s less. they won’t tell you that before hand, staff are not that friendly, probably lot of tourists inquiries about exchange rates. They speak very less they will inform you the rate by punching the numbers on the calculator if you like it you exchange else walk out. They don’t answer to your questions. They don’t display the rates at the entrance, make sure your currency notes are in good condition, most of the currency exchange shops don’t accept notes even if there is a minor damage. On 27th Oct, 2023 I got 24,200VND for a Dollar ( I gave 20 $ bills)

  rude arrogant dismissive and downright disrespectful, lived in hcmc for 5 years, had to go US for death in family, spent an hour in a US bank searching for the most pristine perfect clean 100$ bills knowing the stunts these shops pull with 100$ bills, these were perfect, the rude boy boy behind the glass rejected half of them for being old or yellow or not clean, all not true, i accepted a lower rate on those just to get out of there, to make the exchange more disrespectful he paid me with 200k notes claiming he didn’t have any 500k notes at 11 am, a girl behind the counter laughed and said welcome to Vietnam,i will go to another store and take a lower rate before i step foot in this place again, meanwhile a lady walks in with a handful of crumpled up 1$ bills and guess what, no problem for her…never again

  I found staff of this exchange place were rude, and later I realised their exchange rates were much lower compared with others. So please, do shop around. Today (10 Sept) their rate for the Aussie $ was 15,200VND, and the one at Ho Tung Mau street was $15,550.

  They have good rates, but sometimes will try to scam you with lower rates and claim your bills are dirty. I got 25 crisp bills right from the bank and they tried to give me a lower rate on 14 of them claiming they were “too white”. I just took them back and exchanged them elsewhere. I understand some bills are legitimately dirty, ripped, crumpled, etc but mine were in perfect condition. Don’t fall for this lower rate scam. Just take back the bills they don’t accept and exchange them elsewhere.

  Best exchange rate, but the rates vary if you have diff bills. E.g. 100€ bill is worth more than 50€bill.

  The lady in the counter is very helpful. My transaction was processed smoothly and professionally. There is also a small coffee shop to have a drink while waiting for the transaction to complete. Nice and pleasant experience. Will use their services again for sure:)

  I exchanged some VND for USD and then went to Cambodia and tried to deposit the $USD. The 100$USD notes were rejected by the ATM. I swapped the notes with another customer who had 100$USD notes and they were accepted. There is something wrong with the money they are issuing at Western Union if it is being rejected by the ATM, but other 100$USD notes work fine, especially considering I swapped the money with someone else and their notes worked fine, it makes no sense.
