The 7 Biggest Hostel near Yangon
Shwe Yo Vintage Hostel
The cafe within the hostel opens during the day and evening. Lovely selection of food, light and simple breakfast included in the booking.
Was in an 8 person room with only 3 at the most. Quiet respectful patrons at the time I was staying. I was anxious about travelling alone in Myanmar for a few days but this hostel gave a sense of safety.
The only downside I could say is the bathrooms were lacklustre but nothing out of the ordinary for a shared space. Given the price and location, it is worth the price!
Special mention to the beautiful artwork, I particularly felt calm in my room with a painting of Inle Lake!

6 years agoShwe Yo Hostel has a special place in my heart after a few weeks in Myanmar. The location here is good, and the staff are spectacular. They are extraordinarily helpful in all manner of what you might need, whether it’s your first time in Myanmar or if you’re back in Yangon after a time away around the country. The owners are so friendly–they just love to shoot the breeze with the guests and hang out, and also answer any and all questions you might have: Burmese language, getting around, exchange rates, bus info, and even helpful hints and warnings about tourist “traps”!Related articles:- Discover the Biggest Water Park in Mandalay
