7 years agoEstablished in April 2010, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste (CCI-TL) is the foremost Chamber of Commerce and employer organisation representing associations and the businesses in Timor-Leste. The CCITL is a strategic partner for the Government and aims to be a trusted third party for businesses. The Government has recognized CCITL as an official partner in 2012, when the 5th Government of passed Resolution 17/2012.The CCITL objectives are primarily based on its approved constitutions and the purpose of CCITL to: a) Representation and protection of the common interests of associated employers and cooperatives with neutrality, equality and respect, nationally and internationally; b) Representation of the employers and cooperative members, as government’s social partner and actual member of the Tripartite in Timor-Leste to promote the social dialogue for the private social and economic development in Timor-Leste. c) Promotion and encouragement of the development of commercial, economic and social relations among its members, as well as technologic and cultural exchange of experiences within industry and tourism between domestic and foreign companies. d) Promotion and encouragement of the economic activities sustainable development and contribution to the progress of national companies and member associations, in the economic, organizational, commercial, technical, technological, associative, cultural and social areas, giving priority to the support of micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives; e) Encouragement and collaboration in projects of cooperation, dissemination, training and qualification of entrepreneurs; f) Promoting the relation and cooperation with similar national and international institutions, supporting the creation of other bodies and representatives, bilateral and multilateral partnerships; g) Acting jointly with international bodies with similar or related national or international objectives, according to the needs of its goals; h) Active cooperation with the central, regional or local government, anytime it is so required or proposed; i) Contribution to the proper understanding, solidarity and closer relations among its members, enhancing the collaboration between them;
