Atty. Somsan was helpful and was able to accommodate our specific needs in a timely manner. We would have faced a lot of trouble without his help. Highly recommended for expats or foreigners who need legal stuff sorted in Thailand – e.g. notary public, police certificate, contracts, business registration, etc. He won’t rip you off like some other legal firms that might overcharge you by 50-200%.

Atty. Somsan is a kind and generous man with admirable professional skills. He stayed past his working hours and notarized several documents for us. There was a listed charge of 500 baht per notary stamp. We had several documents, some requiring two stamps per page, and had been quoted 12,000-15,000 baht by many other places, but Atty. Somsan gave us a very generous discount in addition to his already affordable prices and we ended up paying less than half of the price given by other places. We greatly appreciate his service, and highly recommend him. *Note: He speaks English*

Very kind, supportive, respectable, and intelligent in his profession. The main advantage is his English speaking ability. He is a really helpful and honourable person. Very affordable fees ….etc

Probably the most reasonable price you can find in Bangkok for notary services. I researched a bunch of places and this was the best price I could find. Mr. Somsan speaks English well, is professional, and came to our condo which was very convenient (for a reasonable charge). You can go to his office as well if you prefer. Highly recommended and would use again.

The Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, also known as the Apostille Convention, is an international treaty drafted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH). The Apostille Convention is intended to simplify the procedure through which a document, issued in one of the contracting states, can be certified for legal purposes in the other contracting states of the Convention. A certification under the Convention is called an apostille or Hague apostille (from French apostille, meaning a marginal or bottom note, derived from Latin post illa, meaning "after those [words of the text]"). An apostille is an international certification comparable to a notarisation, and may supplement a local notarisation of the document. If the Convention applies between two states, an apostille issued by the state of origin is sufficient to certify the document, and removes the need for further certification by the destination state.
