5 years agoBeach road as it is known locally is very scenic. several embassies are located her. Among them the American Embassy, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Malaysia. It also has a good mix of food outlets. You can also see the local fishermen display their day catch here by the roadside for sale. 2 months agoIt is a good news story from Timor-Leste that the diving is still as good as it was 20 years ago. In two shore dives within sight of the airport, with expert guiding from Marianne, we saw a wide range of big fish from Sweet Lips to Barracudas, small critters from Nudibranchs to Ghost Pike Fish. The Dive Timor Lorosae rental equipment is good, the team well organized, and they are great communicators. Look them up if you’re heading to Timor-Leste.2 months agoWow!! Just can’t rate this place enough!! Management and staff are all outstanding!! They are all so professional and passionate with what they do!! My friends and I went out on their whale watching tour yesterday and were so lucky to find so many sperm whales we didn’t know where to look!! Also had the opportunity to swim with them!! What an experience!! Thank you for a fantastic day!! This is just one of the great things Dive Timor Lorosae has to offer!!3 months agoThis is a great dive shop and training center for PADI certification in an incomparable island location. I have stayed here in their rooms for a week while I did my open water certification and found all the personnel beginning with the manager Marianne friendly, caring and responsive. Above all I must thank my trainer Bailey for his patience, knowledge and intelligent guidance. But I would be remiss if I neglected to mention that if you’ve never scuba dove the reefs of East Timor with Marti, I regret to inform you that you’ve never dived at all. Blessings upon all the drivers and the crew that assisted my aged corpus into and out of the beautiful waters of the coral triangle. My only regret is that I arrived before the annual transit of the whales. Next time!5 months agoHad the best dive experience here! Had a refresher in their pool with Selina. She explained the skills clearly, and was super patient and encouraging. Went out for two coastal dives the following day with Marti. He’s an amazing guide; enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the marine life and conditions. Also gave me useful feedback on my diving. The day felt well organised and the team were safety concious. They regularly checked in to make sure I was ok as had a mild leg injury. The accommodation is also good for the price, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. And there’s great food at the restaurant next door. Definitely recommend this place to stay and dive!3 months agoHad my first ever scuba experience today with Dive Timor Lorosae. I had the most amazing time! So welcoming and relaxed – made me feel completely at ease. But also very professional, well-informed and safety conscious. Tim was the consumate dive instructor.
