Yoga is not just Asana movements, Yoga is a lifestyle, a practice in everyday life. – By luck, three years ago I met the right Teacher to orient and walk on the path of practicing Yoga. – People often think of Yoga as just an exercise. True but not enough :), then you lose your practice every week or month. – Yoga students who do not find the right teacher are in danger, dangerous for their vertebrae and internal organs. And most importantly, the teacher must have enough positive energy to spread to each student. – Every day I was in Vietnam, that day my little feet still walked on this familiar path to study Yoga ??‍♀️??

Top Yoga Studio Alternatives in Hanoi

Mindful Yoga or Mindfulness Yoga combines Buddhist-style mindfulness practice with yoga as exercise to provide a means of exercise that is also meditative and useful for reducing stress.
Buddhism and Hinduism have since ancient times shared many aspects of philosophy and practice including mindfulness, understanding the suffering caused by an erroneous view of reality, and using concentrated and meditative states to address such suffering.
The use of a hybrid of yoga and mindfulness for stress was pioneered by Jon Kabat-Zinn in America in 1990. It has since been advocated in differing forms by yoga and meditation teachers and authors from many backgrounds, such as Anne Cushman, Frank Jude Boccio, Stephen Cope, Janice Gates, Cyndi Lee, Phillip Moffitt, and Sarah Powers.
Courses in Mindful Yoga are provided in Buddhist meditation centres, yoga studios, and stress clinics around the world.

While there are several yoga studios in Hanoi, some people may prefer alternative options for their yoga practice. Here are three popular alternatives to traditional yoga studios in Hanoi:

  • Outdoor Yoga Classes: Hanoi is blessed with numerous parks and green spaces, making it an ideal location for outdoor yoga classes. Many yoga instructors and wellness centers organize classes in parks such as Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, and Lenin Park. Practicing yoga in the open air allows participants to connect with nature, enjoy fresh air, and take advantage of the natural surroundings.

  • Yoga Retreats: For those seeking a more immersive yoga experience, attending a yoga retreat can be a great alternative. Hanoi and its surrounding areas offer beautiful retreat locations where participants can deepen their practice in a serene and peaceful environment. Yoga retreats typically include daily yoga classes, meditation sessions, healthy meals, and optional workshops or excursions.

  • Online Yoga Classes: With the rise of technology, online yoga classes have become a popular option for those who prefer to practice yoga from the comfort of their own homes. There are numerous websites and apps that offer a wide range of yoga classes, from beginner to advanced levels. Online classes provide flexibility in terms of time and location, allowing participants to practice at their own pace and schedule.

Each of these alternatives offers unique benefits and caters to different preferences. Whether you prefer practicing outdoors, immersing yourself in a retreat setting, or enjoying the convenience of online classes, you can find an option that suits your needs in Hanoi.
