– The unpleasant part was the way we were absolutely rushed through a mechanical 7 minutes top visit (with absolutely no other visitor around), and given a presentation uttered robot like, emotionless. We weren’t authorised to take photos while the woman was talking, and ordered to do so after she would be done. I’m not sure we saw the whole house, as there are pics of an ancient bed in the previous reviews, that never appeared while visiting. I bought a small Khmer scarf in the shop section for my son, so maybe that’s why we weren’t asked the 2 dollars previous reviews mention as a “mandatory fee”.
Overall and even though the visit could be rushed, I would still recommend it for the sake of this well preserved traditional rich Khmer house. But how wonderful it would be to feel that the guide was actually pleased to share its History…
