I used their service last March and the elderly gentleman was just great. Today evening around 6.30 went there but the same person was not there. An younger lady and gentleman was there, I gave two 100$ notes to change to local currency and one note had less then 1 cm tear on the top middle (where You fold the note) & the other had no tear but the lady after inspecting the notes gave it to the gentleman and he after inspecting both said he can’t receive the notes to exchange…bye bye.

Just an edit after the owners reply, I changed the same notes from another place same day without any objections or deduction… Sorry LST, Your exchange service not recommended.

The guy at the shop is just INCREDIBLE. Very polite and helpful, he knows a lot about international economics and which one, dollars or riels depending on what kind of transaction you will do in Cambodia, is better for every client. He even helped me go sort out my phone number to activate Grab app, and settled my Google maps onto satellite mode❤️ when I was about to leave, I mentioned that to another foreigner whtwas coming, athe said: “ Oh yes, I know him, that’s why I’m coming.” Honestly, the kind of friend you want to meet in Phnom Penh. Very fair exchange rates too.

Outstanding service at this money exchange in Phnom Penh! The person owner was incredibly friendly. He was kind enough to recommend a fantastic restaurant for us to dine at later that evening. Furthermore, his recommendations for tourist attractions were spot on – very helpful for newcomers to the city. It’s not just the competitive exchange rates that’ll bring me back, but the warm and helpful service too!”

We came here to get a local SIM chip. Super helpful person at the counter, spoke fluent English. He made sure we were fully set up and everything was working, registering the card for us. Remember to bring your passport as they need it for the process. He was also able to override an eSIM that was running in the background and blocking our data. He downloaded our app for top ups and suggested the plan best suited for our month long travel. Highly recommend.

Initial SIM instal with 60GB of data & 150 minutes calling for USD $10. One month of 60GB top up: USD $6. Company: CellCard.

The United States dollar (symbol: $; currency code: USD; also abbreviated US$ to distinguish it from other dollar-denominated currencies; referred to as the dollar, U.S. dollar, American dollar, or colloquially buck) is the official currency of the United States and several other countries. The Coinage Act of 1792 introduced the U.S. dollar at par with the Spanish silver dollar, divided it into 100 cents, and authorized the minting of coins denominated in dollars and cents. U.S. banknotes are issued in the form of Federal Reserve Notes, popularly called greenbacks due to their predominantly green color.
The monetary policy of the United States is conducted by the Federal Reserve System, which acts as the nation's central bank.
The U.S. dollar was originally defined under a bimetallic standard of 371.25 grains (24.057 g) (0.7735 troy ounces) fine silver or, from 1837, 23.22 grains (1.505 g) fine gold, or $20.67 per troy ounce. The Gold Standard Act of 1900 linked the dollar solely to gold. From 1934, its equivalence to gold was revised to $35 per troy ounce. Since 1971, all links to gold have been repealed. The U.S. dollar became an important international reserve currency after the First World War, and displaced the pound sterling as the world's primary reserve currency by the Bretton Woods Agreement towards the end of the Second World War. The dollar is the most widely used currency in international transactions, and a free-floating currency. It is also the official currency in several countries and the de facto currency in many others, with Federal Reserve Notes (and, in a few cases, U.S. coins) used in circulation.
As of February 10, 2021, currency in circulation amounted to US$2.10 trillion, $2.05 trillion of which is in Federal Reserve Notes (the remaining $50 billion is in the form of coins and older-style United States Notes). As of September 20, 2023, the Federal Reserve estimated that the total amount of currency in circulation was approximately US$2.33 trillion.
