Extremely Disappointed with Davao Doctors Hospital!
I am writing this review with deep disappointment after a recent experience at Davao Doctors Hospital.
As a concerned parent, I rushed my son to the emergency room expecting the highest level of care from what is claimed to be the “best hospital” in Davao City.
My 9 year old kid having fever of over 40 degrees celcius on its 3rd day without any relief from paracetamol was rushed to this hospital.
Unfortunately, my experience left me questioning the quality of service and the commitment of the staff, especially in the admission department.
Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the workers in the admission area were not enthusiastic about their work. Their lack of empathy and apparent unhappiness made an already stressful situation even more challenging. I felt like I was treated as a burden rather than as a concerned parent seeking urgent medical attention for my child. They just right away said there is no available rooms but they were admitting other patients.
The denial of admission for my son in the emergency room was not only shocking but also concerning. In a critical situation where every minute counts, the hospital’s inability to promptly attend to my son’s needs is unacceptable. This is not the standard of care one should expect from a reputed hospital, let alone the “best” one in the city.
I am deeply worried about the level of care my son would receive in such circumstances, and it has left me contemplating the safety of bringing my child to this hospital. The experience has raised serious doubts about the hospital’s commitment to patient well-being, and I fear for the consequences should anything unfortunate happen to my child due to this negligence.
I truly hope that Davao Doctors Hospital takes this feedback seriously and works to improve the quality of care, the attitude of its staff, and the efficiency of its emergency services. No parent should have to go through such a distressing experience when seeking medical assistance for their child. If necessary, I will not hesitate to explore legal options to ensure accountability for any potential lapses in patient care.
4 months agoOverpriced and pitifully bad service.1. The ultrasound doctor is extremely rude and uncooperative. After paying cash for my partner’s ultrasound I politely requested a few pictures for our child’s Consular Report of Birth Abroad to the US embassy. She would not even speak to me about it; she just shut the door in my face before I could finish speaking.
2. OB/GYN doctor kept my partner waiting for 3 hours, then told us to prepare 100,000 pesos for birth and delivery fee. 3 times higher than what DMSF charges.
3. The lab is expensive and unorganized.
4. I emailed the hospital administrator with a complaint and a request for better services. I received one response and then nothing happened.
Save your money and do not go this hospital. Especially if you are a foreigner.
11 months agoWorst hospital ever. Cashier is extremely slow. Billing is pretty slow. ER is terribly slow. HMO hub priority lane is insanely slow. It’s my 4th time here as this is the best hospital in Davao, and everytime I’m here, everything seems to be slow. Billing counters here doesn’t even acknowledge the priority numbers. They just entertain people who skip lines, without getting any priority #. Minimum wait time for all transactions here takes 3-4 hours. Even just to pay for something takes at least 2 hours. It’s like hell. I have more complains to DDH but it won’t fit this form anymore.a month agoThe service was so bad ! Especially the ortho department . I just had my outpatient procedure and it was under ortho center and they gave me checklist of procedure for my HMO and philhealth and need to secure approval from billing and i was able to finish it all without them informing that i will have an excess charges It even indicates final approval from billing and i was able to secure the approval but then again after my procedure they ask me to pay additional amount. I was really disappointed because they could have be more organize in advicing the patient about the payment so that if we cant afford it we can prepare or otherwise we can decline the procedure. The nurse or the attendant onduty was not approachable except nurse jose.

2 months agoI have always loved their staff – accommodating, very nice, approachable, and a Doctor will see in less than an hour. Lab results get released within an hour. My child’s pedia is here as it is very convenient from where we live.I know its never good when you have to visit a hospital but the people who works here just makes going to a hospital less dreadful.
4 months agoIt’s a good place to get labs especially if you live close to the area. The price for the services you avail of are worth it. Kudos to the teams who never failed to entertain our medical needs.a year agoLess crowded compared to its main branch. Much more convenient if you’re close to this facility as lab tests process quicker and release within the day. I do recommend checking the utilities before sampling as some of their comfort rooms had broken pipes.5 years agoThis is just a “satellite branch” of the main hospital, Davao Doctors Hospital located in Toril area. Was able to go here for a consultation with my doctor since she has a speficic day schedule here and it was good that it I was available to go on that day. Surprisingly, there were a few people/patients/visitors here and there were no long queues. I was easily led by the receptionist to my doctor in no time at all. It was just maybe a 5-minute wait ‘coz I had barely seated in the waiting area. My consultation also went well. Such a breath of fresh air this mini-hospital is! The medical staff were all professional, warm and accommodating. Must visit if you’re living in the South. This is maybe a 10-minute drive from our place and traffic is not that bad as if you go to downtown so very convenient and accessible. Would love to be back and try their other available services here. Definitely a good move/strategy from the Davao Doctors Hospital Management. Kudos! Highly recommended!2 years agoI got pneumonia after 3 days stay here
