I stayed here for 4 nights, which if anyone is wondering is the length of time to see EVERYTHING in Brunei. I had a private room here which was perfectly adequate for a budget option. The room did have no windows which was a bit dungeon like, and the single bathroom was not the best. The reception staff were absolutely excellent and the location is perfect.

Good hostel in the center of Bandar Seri Begawan. Good facilities and nice atmosphere. However beware of the loud morning prayers. So take earplugs with you. The staff is very helpful and on point. With my late check in they provide all the information for a smooth check in. The location is perfect close to everything.

I am so happy I stayed here. Even months later, I am thinking of this place. The view out the window is amazing. Must stay in BSB. I LOVED IT. What a lovely place. Staff is very nice. Wonderful location. And the food at the place next door has the best nasi katok. Very safe. Will stay here again. I just wish the blanket was bigger. But that’s just me. Stay here.

First and last im staying at this place after the incident 19th january 2024….the owner denied that they didnt received any update arrival but actually i have already inform her that my friend arrive at 5pm to 6pm (i still kept the evidence text conversation)….and then my friend was really upset when he arrived the place because the local staff gave him to another place (22 hours hostel) instead room at miniinn guest house which i was shock too & not the same room as i booked for my friend..i zoom straight away all the way from my home tutong area to gadong (drive fast 130km/hr for 30 min to reach gadong)

Just because im local bruneian, the local bruneian staff want to answer back to me..sound like i know that the owner have 2 place (miniinn guest house and 22 hour hostel)…hheellloooo??? I dont know anything about your bos and im not a busybody person to know people own business….If your bos doesnt mention “our room at miniin guest house are fully booked, would you like to stay at 22 hours hostel?”, i wont get mad and upset at all…i would just cancel the booking agoda before the date and search another hostels/hotel for my friend to stay…

LUCKY IT REFUND BACK because i paid the owner using BIBD bank transfer, not using credit card through agoda

So i dont recommand anyone if you are an organize person and face this problem like me…all the BEST.

A comfortable and affordable guest house for tourists who would like to explore Brunei. They have free water and free use of washing machine. They also have a friendly staff and the location is very accessible to malls and bus stops. Highly recommended!

Simple small guest house located in the center of Gadong surrounded by shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff, very helpful people around. I stayed for two nights with family and for a cheaper transport public bus are available. Frankly speaking, public buses are not very good, buses I travelled are not air-conditioned and is very hot. The frequency of buses is ok. The option of online taxi is that you can download DART app. You should have a local number to register. Taxis are very few and not available most of the time in the city.

First of all, the owner Hamzah really friendly & helpful guy. I will rate him 10/10⭐️. Hamzah have full of knowledge regarding his job. Many things hv we discussed. Secondly, the room condition 5/5⭐️, no doubt. The cleanliness and environment tip top. Also provide facilities such as laundry & small kitchen(water filter, oven etc..)free of charge guy ?. Lastly, the location of this guest house, amazing and peaceful?. Shopping mall & night market(PasarMalam) nearby. You will not regret if you stay here?

The living room is clean and the service is good. But the bed in the room is really bad. The bed made of wood will shake and make noise when you sleep on it. There were two thin ones on the bed, and I slept on it until I fell asleep.

Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB; Jawi: بندر سري بڬاوان; Malay: [ˌbandar səˌri bəˈɡawan] ) is the capital and largest city of Brunei. It is officially a municipal area (kawasan bandaran) with an area of 100.36 square kilometres (38.75 sq mi) and an estimated population of 100,700 as of 2007. It is part of Brunei-Muara District, the smallest yet most populous district which is home to over 70 per cent of the country's population. It is the country's largest urban centre and nominally the country's only city. The capital is home to Brunei's seat of government, as well as a commercial and cultural centre. It was formerly known as Brunei Town until it was renamed in 1970 in honour of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei and the father of the current Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
The history of Bandar Seri Begawan can be traced back to the establishment of a Malay stilt settlement on the waters of the Brunei River which became the predecessor of Kampong Ayer today. It became the capital of the Bruneian Sultanate from the 16th century onwards, as well as in the 19th century when it became a British protectorate. The establishment of a British Residency in the 20th century saw the establishment of modern-day administration on land, as well as the gradual resettlement of the riverine dwellers to the land. During World War II, the capital was occupied by the Japanese forces from 1941 and bombed in 1945 upon liberation by Allied forces. Brunei's independence from the British was declared on 1 January 1984 on a square in the city centre.
Bandar Seri Begawan is home to Istana Nurul Iman, the largest residential palace in the world by the Guinness World Records, and Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Brunei's iconic landmark. It is also home to Kampong Ayer, the largest 'water village' in the world and nicknamed Venice of the East. It was once the host city of the 20th Southeast Asian Games in 1999 and 8th APEC Summit in 2000.
