However the roads were so bumpy in both the Laos side and Cambodia side, we could hardly sleep, it was like we were doing headbanging on the minivans. But it was the roads, not the drivers’ fault.
The bed on the sleeping bus is like in the picture below, so if you go alone you might have to share it with a stranger, or you’ll have to buy 2 tickets to have it all for yourself.
My boyfriend is more than 190cm so the journeys on the minivans were very uncomfortable for him. The space on the sleeping bus was fine but as I said roads were crazily bumpy.
If i remember correctly (it’s already been 2 months) we stopped at 3 places on the way, 2 just for toilet and you can buy some snacks, the other one is a family restaurant with proper food and toilet.
When we arrived in Siem Reap, the company offered passengers FREE tuk tuk to your hotel, but our hotel was so close to there so we decided to walk.
We arrived safe and sound without losing anything or being scammed. The trip was predictably uncomfortable since it was by bus and minivans.
